1. Overview

This page explains how subscriptions, billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Ledger AI. It supplements (and is consistent with) our Terms of Service.

2. Plans and Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars (CAD) and renew automatically until cancelled. Local currency may be displayed at checkout. Pricing and features are described on our pricing page.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings inside the app. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately. You will continue to have access to paid features through the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is preserved.

If you would prefer not to keep your data, you can also delete it permanently from Settings before or after cancellation.

4. Refund Eligibility

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first paid purchase of any subscription plan. If you request a refund within 30 days of that initial charge, you will receive a full refund.

After the 30-day window:

  • Renewal charges are generally non-refundable. If you forgot to cancel and were billed for a renewal, contact us — we routinely refund recent unintended renewals as a courtesy.
  • If we materially change a plan's features or terms in a way that affects you, you may request a pro-rated refund of the unused portion of your billing period.
  • If you experience a service issue caused by us, contact support and we will work with you on a refund or credit.

5. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Plan Changes

Upgrades take effect immediately. The new plan is pro-rated against your current billing period, so you only pay the difference for the time remaining.

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your higher-tier features until then, after which the lower-tier limits apply. Downgrades do not generate a refund.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@useledgerai.com from the email address on your account, and include the date of the charge you'd like refunded. We respond within one business day.

Approved refunds are processed through Stripe back to your original payment method. You can also request a refund by emailing support@useledgerai.com. Bank processing times vary, but funds typically appear within 5–10 business days.

7. Failed Payments and Past Due

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe automatically retries over several days using Smart Retries. We'll notify you so you can update your payment method from your billing settings. If retries are unsuccessful, your subscription is cancelled and your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data remains intact and you can re-subscribe at any time.

8. Taxes

Prices on the pricing page are exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, GST/HST, VAT, or similar taxes may be added at checkout based on your billing location.

9. Payment Processor

Ledger AI is the seller for all subscriptions. Card payments are processed on our behalf by Stripe, Inc. Refunds are issued through Stripe back to your original payment method. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
